In lieu of national foster care month, episode #41 features the founder and president of Backyard Orphans, Eric Porter.  Backyard Orphans is an interdenominational ministry focused on educating and equipping the church to care for the vulnerable in their own backyard

In 2011, while working as a full time pastor, he and his wife, Tricia, felt God calling them to become orphan care missionaries that equip churches to care for this marginalized group. The result was a family move to the Dallas metro area where over the last 4 years their ministry has pursued the dream of seeing a day when there are more families waiting for children than children waiting for families.
